We're in! and (almost) unpacked

It's the end of our 2nd week in the house now and some form of sanity has begun to emerge from the boxes. Actually we've been surprised by how much space there is here - once all the other people's stuff has gone it looked totally different.

Maddie loves running around the place at increasingly alarming speeds! And although climbing the stairs was something of an obsession in the old place, she doesn't seem to miss them...having complete free reign of the house more than makes up for no stairs to climb I think. She also has her own kitchen cupboard, so she can help out by passing us her plates, bowls and cups when she's ready for food (i.e. all the time).

Maddie's settling in well at her new nursery. Slightly disconcertingly she has had 2 comments in her coomunication book that make us think she might be becoming a bit of a bully - 'maddie is increasingly communicating her emotions to the the other children' and 'maddie thinks that the cubby belongs to her and she shepherds out the other childrn'. This theory was reinforced when Toni and Maddie were at playgroup and she defended the cubby there by shouting at anyone who came close. Oh well, another developmental phase to ride out! Other than that though, she's being an angel and we're really enjoying her company.

Right then, we'd beter get back to our last few boxes...
